Top 9 of ‘09: Science Fiction and Fantasy

These are my favourite science fiction and fantasy movies of 2009, FINALLY presented in honor of District 9’s Oscar nomination. :) PS: Yes, I know there is no Avatar. I left it out on PURPOSE. :)

You could try pulling away the curtains and let daylight in.
I’m presuming you have a laptop, so you could try moving it around until you get a good picture. Just remember not to point the camera into direct sunlight, not even if you’re in the way, or you’ll get high contrast and it will dark your whole figure.
    Anyway, love? your accent. :)

Thanks for the tip I could try filming during day time but it’s weird because there are all kind of dubious sounds coming from outside like car alarms and dogs and stuff. :) Still, surely this is a better image than my old videos :P

Try getting better lighting; it reduces the image noise.

I just can’t imagine a sequel for Avatar.

what can they possibly do in a sequel that they didn’t already do?

this should definately be a stand alone film. any sequel will only ruin it.

I would much prefer if James Cameron uses this technology to make other films, this time with a better and more original story.

Solely. LOL Seems like such a harmless little word.

The Prisoner I enjoyed too, it was very well made and captured moods and atmospheres so very well. Good one to include.

Its nice to see that you didn’t include Avatar. I somewhat enjoyed the movie when I saw it in cinemas, but if someone asked me to describe it to them, I would call a far less preachy and ham-fisted version of Captain Planet.

And last I heard, talk of sequel’s been buzzing around. While I’m normally not opposed to such news, Avatar is an exception. It ended in a good way and I feel a sequel would be not only problematic in its execution, but unnessecary as a whole.
